The Festival

The Festival is an annual event and has been running since 1980. It takes place on the first Sunday of July, exclusively for disabled anglers.

The event is attended by anglers of all abilities and disabilities, from the beginner to the experienced angler. They travel from all across the country to attend this very popular event, held on well stocked waters, here at South Cerney Angling Club in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park.

It is a great day out for all, but many make a weekend of it and find local accommodation. Many travel down the day before and have a get together at our licensed clubhouse, where there’ll be live entertainment on the eve of the event.

Competitors are welcome to bring a helper with them, but if they don’t there are always a good crowd of stewards willing to lend a hand.

There are 60 places available, so to avoid disappointment be sure to get your application forms in as soon as possible. Juniors are more than welcome.

There is a large social side to the event which offers disabled people a chance to get together with old friends and make some new ones too.
There’s also trophies and great prizes for the winners.
